Karen Haase, a national presenter on social media, spent time on March 10 speaking with middle, high school, and parents about how to stay safe on social media.
Haase largely focused on digital citizenship. For example how to practice responsible social media use, how to keep students safe, how to spot the signs of cyberbullying and the legal ramifications of inappropriate social media use, as well as much more.
Haase was in the schools exclusively speaking with students during the day and spoke to parents in a special FB live presentation that evening.
Haase’s visit is part of an occasional speaker series for parents offered through a Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation grant.
