Papillion La Vista High School students in Integrated Math participated in a project that partnered them with real businesses from the community.
The following six business participated in the project:
The projects required the students to create and administer surveys on behalf of their assigned businesses. Once they collected the data, they organized, analyzed, then presented the data to their class with the actual business owners/representatives as their audience.
Before collecting the data, the groups discussed with their business partners what problems they may be having and what questions the businesses would want answered by high school students.
With the help from the business partners, each group created a survey of 15-20 questions and each group had 100 high school students participate in the survey.
Thank you to the PLC Schools Cooperation BEST partners who volunteered their time to work with the students, attend the presentations, and provide feedback.
