PLSHS students build, test 'toxic waste vehicles'

Papillion La Vista South High School Students in Dr. Megan Hylok's Environmental Science classes took two days to build and test "Toxic Waste Vehicles".

Students learned about how transporting hazardous materials is dangerous. They learned what the impact on the environment would be if a truck transporting hazardous materials was to be hit or crushed.

During the lab, students constructed vehicles out of common materials, receiving a point when the vehicle is made of recyclable materials, losing 1 point if the egg is cracked, and 2 points if the egg yolk falls out.
