Walnut Creek Elementary School students celebrated Arbor Day on Friday, April 26. The 3rd graders wrote persuasive letters to the owner of Canoyer’s Garden Center and were successful in receiving donations of shrubs, plants, and a tree for the school.
The staff from the Sarpy County Attorney’s Office kicked off the celebrations by reading a story to the 3rd graders at 12:30 p.m. and the students planted the shrubs and plants after the reading concluded.
