Trumble Park 6th grade class collects hundreds of diapers to be donated to families in need
When Amy Vecchio’s 6th grade heard there was a need for diapers to be donated to families in need, they didn’t hesitate to jump into action. Currently, the class is collecting diapers to support Channel 94.1’s Annual Diaper Drive benefiting the Lydia House at the Open Door Mission. So far, they’ve collected 800 diapers with a goal of donating 1,000. The diapers will be used by mothers and children staying at the Lydia House that are going through difficult times. This is a great opportunity for the students to learn about giving back to the community.
Amy Vecchio, a 6th grade teacher at Trumble Park Elementary and her student Lexy Hatcher proudly display the 800 diapers they collected during their class diaper drive. The diapers will be donated to the Channel 94.1 Annual Diaper Drive to support the Lydia House at the Open Door Mission.
