Nearly $1,400 raised during No Shave November at PLCS elementary schools

As staff and teachers at several Papillion La Vista Community Schools grew out their facial hair and beards throughout the month of November, students cast votes $1 at time to pick their favorite. At the end of the fundraising campaign, students at Anderson Grove, Golden Hills, Patriot, G. Stanley Hall and Bell Elementary raised nearly $1,400 to benefit cancer research. When students cast their vote, their name was put into a drawing. The students selected were able to create a design that would be shaved into the beards. On Monday, Dec. 3 and Wed., Dec. 5, stylists from Sports Clips shaved the design into staff members’ beards during an all school assembly.
