On Thurs., Feb. 8 middle school High Ability Learners (HAL) students interested in culinary arts headed to the HyVee in Shadow Lake Towne Center to speak with a chef and dietitian about creating a healthy meal plan. After planning a budget, the students shopped for the food items they needed before moving to the kitchen when they started to cook the food. Of course, there was a taste test at the end!
