It's been a big party all week at all PLCS school during lunchtime as part of National School Lunch Week!
The week of celebration wrapped up at Papillion Middle School with a prize giveaway. Some of the prizes will be music related along with Titan "swag". The music prizes go along with the theme, “School Lunch: What’s on Your Playlist,” which spotlights how today’s school cafeterias are serving up healthy menu items that kids want to eat, with increased choice and customization.
The following students won prizes (left to right): Kassidy Johnson, Ashley Mejia Morey, Brandon Kramer, Dillon Sedgeman, Charles Wright, and Ben Shafer.
Music was played all week long at various schools in PLCS and many of the cafeterias were decorated to celebrate the week.
NSLW aims to help shine the light about how 30 million students enjoy healthy lunches every school day. Today’s school lunches meet strict nutrition standards, including limits on calories, sodium and unhealthy fats.
The “School Lunch Playlist” campaign is made possible by the nonprofit School Nutrition Association.
