Trumble Park Elementary first-graders and kindergarteners were able to be up close and personal with wild animals Wednesday, May 1.
The students shrieked with joy each time a representative from Wildlife Encounters brought out a new critter for them to learn about. They were able to experience an armadillo, tortoise, fox, snake, and more.
The aim is to use the "animal ambassadors" to teach students more about the natural world.
