Papillion La Vista Community Schools Announces NJROTC Students Selected to Attend USS Omaha Commissioning
After receiving the distinct honor to provide the Color Guard for the commissioning of the USS Omaha in San Diego, CA this February, Papillion La Vista Community Schools is proud to announce the selected NJROTC students who will be participating in the ceremony.
The students are:

Karla Molina (PLSHS)
Callie Nuttall (PLSHS)
Austin Rivers (PLHS)
Luke Sumpter (PLSHS)
Christopher Uhe (PLSHS)
Jack Meling – 1st Alternate (PLSHS)
Nathan Bowen – 2nd Alternate (PLHS)
Sixteen students who participate in NJROTC tried out for this prestigious duty. Try outs were held on December 7th. The evaluators were a combination of active duty, retired, and reserve, Marine Staff Non-Commissioned Officers. Selections were based on performance during tryouts.
