PLCS SkillsUSA students earn top honors during state contest
Thousands of high school students descended on Grand Island, NE to compete in the 2018 SkillsUSA Nebraska Leadership and Skills Conference in April. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled work force. Gracie Davis, PLSHS Junior, was chosen as one of the seven students to represent Nebraska for 2018-19. This national nonprofit organization serves teachers, high schools and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations. Students competed in over 90 different categories and areas and were recognized for placing in the top 3 for each category. Students and teams that received a gold medal will travel to the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, KY June 25 – 29.
