Author Julia Cook visited students and parents at Patriot Elementary on Thursday, March 5 as part of a prize for raising the most money nationwide for flood victims in 2019.
Patriot Elementary raised the most money out of schools nationwide for Cook's "Kids Helping Kids" campaign that directly benefitted flood victims in Fremont, NE. Patriot Elementary raised more than $3,000 out of the $70,000 raised nation-wide.
Cook met with students from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. and held a special parent session in the library at 6:30 p.m.
