At ‘MoodFood’, you’re invited to eat your feelings to create a mouthful of memories. Savana Moore and Jazmin Koebel, both students at Papillion-La Vista South High School are the brains behind the restaurant concept they created as part of the ProStart culinary program. With the help of their teacher, Louise Dornbusche and their mentor, Chef Casey Craven of ‘Herb Saint’, the duo earned a coveted spot to travel to Providence, Rhode Island April 27 – 30 to compete in the National ProStart Invitational. After presenting and explaining the concept behind ‘MoodFood’, the restaurant floorplan and budget, the teamed earned 6th place out of 46, earning them higher in the competition than any previous Nebraska team.
