Students at Hickory Hill Elementary had the chance to see wild animals like snakes, hissing cockroaches, a kangaroo, and much more when Wildlife Encounters visited the school as part of the school’s One School, One Book program.
The whole school is reading the book Wishtree and the themes in Wishtree are caring for animals and nature.
The book teaches students that as humans we want to do our parts to be good ambassadors for nature including trees and wildlife.
The Wildlife Encounters activity is sponsored by the PTO who wanted the students to connect to the book they are reading in a fun way.
