PLCS is Grateful - Staff Members Receive February Superintendent Gratitude Award

In February, Superintendent Dr. Rikli selected two staff members to receive the Superintendent Gratitude Awards of the month. Honorees are selected from a pool of nominations in the Papillion La Vista Community Schools peer-to-peer gratitude system. PLCS staff members submit their thanks via a form for the ways their colleagues and peers show up in their work - from everyday excellence to the ways they go above and beyond to help students and staff.

February Superintendent Gratitude Award Winners:

  • Stephanie Kimball, math teacher at PLHS
  • Morgan Varble, food service at Hickory Hill

"I'm thankful for all the nice kids we have in our school district and all the nice staff members we have in our building," said Varble after being surprised with the award during an all-school assembly at Hickory Hill.

"There are so many people who could have gotten this Gratitude Award," said Kimball. "It encourages me to write more for my coworkers."

Monthly Superintendent Gratitude Award winners receive a gift card sponsored by the PLCS Foundation as a token of gratitude.
