
The PLSHS Prostart Culinary team dubbed as the "PL South Southside Troublemakers" the top spot at the "Final Three" NE State ProStart Competition on March 11. The students earned a place at that competition in Lincoln for placing in the top 3 at the state ProStart competition held at the MCC Ft. Omaha Campus.
The team cooked the following: a creamy mushroom tomato risotta for an appetizer, a pork tenderloin with sauteed vegetables and polenta for the main entree, and hearts desire for the dessert (a chocolate shell filled with a light strawberry).
The win qualifies them for the national competition in May in Washington D.C.
