Rumsey Station Garden Club Keeps School Grounds Blooming Through Late-Summer Heat, 9/17/2026

Members of the Rumsey Station Elementary Garden Club have spent the late summer months tending to the landscaping and flower beds around the school, ensuring the campus continues to look its best as the new school year gets underway. Despite the lingering heat, the dedicated group of students has continued its regular upkeep of the grounds.

The Garden Club offers students a hands-on opportunity to learn about plant care, responsibility, and teamwork, all while contributing directly to their school community. Projects like these help students develop a sense of ownership and pride in their school environment, skills that carry over well beyond the garden beds.

Support from staff members like Mr. Pudenz has helped guide the club's efforts, providing students with mentorship as they learn the ins and outs of maintaining a school garden.

Papillion La Vista Community Schools thanks the Rumsey Station Garden Club and Mr. Pudenz for their continued hard work keeping the school grounds vibrant and welcoming for the entire school community.
