PLCS Technology Team Preps Chromebooks for 2026-27 School Year, 7/2/2026
Jackie Connealy

With help from volunteers, the Papillion La Vista Community Schools Technology team spent this week unboxing, processing, and setting up Chromebooks in preparation for the 2026-27 school year. The behind-the-scenes work is a key part of the district's summer preparations, ensuring devices are ready for staff and students when classes resume.

The technology team stays busy throughout the summer months, using the quiet of empty classrooms and offices to complete essential updates and setup work across the district. This includes configuring devices, applying necessary software updates, and organizing equipment distribution ahead of the new school year.

Reliable access to technology plays an important role in classroom instruction across PLCS, supporting everything from daily assignments to specialized programs. The work completed by the technology team over the summer helps ensure that when students and staff return, devices are ready to go without disruption to the first days of school.

This summer preparation reflects the district's broader commitment to providing students and staff with the resources and support they need for a successful school year, made possible by the dedication of the technology team and its volunteers throughout the summer months.
