Families Connect with Resources and Learning at PLCS Family Engagement Fair, 9/21/2026

Families from across Papillion La Vista Community Schools turned out in strong numbers for the district's Family Engagement Fair last week. The event offered prizes, books and a wide range of educational resources designed to support learners at every grade level, from early elementary through high school.

The fair gave families a chance to explore tools and information they can use to support learning at home. Community partners were on hand to share resources with families, extending the reach of the event well beyond the classroom and connecting families with organizations that serve the Papillion and La Vista communities.

Students from the district's Education Academy also played a key role, leading math games for attendees. The experience allowed families to engage with math in a fun, approachable way while giving Education Academy students valuable practice working directly with young learners, an important step for students exploring careers in teaching.

The district extends its thanks to the community partners and Education Academy students who helped make the evening a success. Families can look ahead to the next district family event, the PLCS Fit Fest health and wellness fair, coming in January. Events like these reflect PLCS's belief that strong partnerships between schools, families and the community help every student thrive.
