The Papillion La Vista South High School powerlifting team wrapped up its regular season this week and turned its focus toward the State competition, with athletes putting in final preparation work in the Titan training room. Under the guidance of Coach Pohlmann, student athletes have spent the season building strength, refining technique, and developing the discipline required to compete at the highest level.

In the days leading up to State, competitors gathered in the training room to test their final gains and receive individualized feedback from Coach Pohlmann. This final preparation phase is a critical part of the competitive process, giving athletes the opportunity to fine-tune their performance, address any remaining technical adjustments, and build the mental confidence needed to compete on the state stage.

Powerlifting demands a unique combination of physical strength, technical precision, and mental focus, making it one of the most discipline-intensive sports a student athlete can pursue. The program at Papillion La Vista South emphasizes not only athletic achievement but also the development of work ethic, goal setting, and perseverance — qualities that serve students well beyond the competition floor.

Papillion La Vista Community Schools takes pride in offering a wide range of athletic opportunities that allow students to find their competitive home and thrive. The Titan powerlifting program exemplifies that commitment, providing a supportive environment where athletes are challenged to discover and exceed their own limits. #PLCSMixtape #WeArePLCS
