The curtain rises this weekend at Papillion La Vista South High School as the school's theater program presents its spring production of The Diary of Anne Frank. The emotionally powerful historical drama will be performed March 26–28 at 7:00 p.m., with a special understudy performance at 2:00 p.m. on March 28. Admission will be collected at the door.

The Diary of Anne Frank brings to the stage the real wartime story of a young Jewish girl who documented her family's years in hiding during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands in World War II. The play has long been considered one of the most significant and affecting works in the theatrical canon, offering audiences a deeply human perspective on history, resilience, and hope.

For the student performers of Papillion La Vista South, the production represents months of rehearsal, preparation, and creative collaboration — as well as an opportunity to bring an important story to their school community. Theater programs like this one build skills in communication, empathy, and creative expression while providing students a meaningful way to engage with literature and history. The community is encouraged to attend and support the talented Titans cast and crew for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of student performance.
