The Papillion Fire Department made a visit to PLCS Summer School this week, giving students a front-row look at fire safety education and the equipment and tools that firefighters rely on every day. The visit, made possible through PLC Schools Cooperation BEST, combined important safety instruction with an up-close exploration of a working fire engine.

Firefighters introduced students to fire safety basics, covering foundational knowledge that supports preparedness and awareness both at home and in the community. The session went beyond the classroom, giving students the chance to move around the fire engine, take in its features, and ask questions about how each component is used on the job.
