PLCS families gathered for an evening of exploration and connection at the district's Tune In Together: Title I Family Night, an event that brought science, literacy, and community resources together under one roof. The well-attended event featured numerous hands-on learning stations where families explored topics ranging from insects and farm animals to fossils and flying machines, with stargazing activities that made scientific concepts accessible and engaging for all ages.

The evening provided multiple opportunities for family engagement beyond academic activities. Students shared their favorite aspects of school with family members and event organizers, selected free books to take home to build personal libraries, and accessed clothing and hygiene items from the Community Closet. Families also enjoyed dinner together, creating a welcoming atmosphere that emphasized the importance of community connection and family involvement in education.

Title I Family Night events are designed to strengthen the partnership between home and school while providing families with resources that support student success. By offering hands-on learning experiences, material resources, and opportunities for students to showcase their school experiences, these events reinforce the district's commitment to ensuring that all families feel welcomed and supported in their children's educational journey. The strong turnout and high level of family engagement demonstrated the community's investment in collaborative approaches to student learning and wellbeing.
