AAPI Association at PLSHS Celebrates Culture and Community at Year-End Feast, 5/11/2026

The Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Association at Papillion La Vista South High School wrapped up its school year in delicious, community-centered fashion — gathering for a cultural feast where members brought dishes representing their own heritage and traditions to share with fellow students. The celebration combined the warmth of shared food with the joy of year-end reflection, giving students a meaningful way to honor their identities and connections before the school year closed.

Food has long been one of the most accessible and powerful vehicles for cultural exchange, and events like this one give students the opportunity to both share their own backgrounds and learn from the experiences of their peers. For AAPI students at PLSHS, the association provides an important space for community, advocacy, and celebration throughout the year — and the final meeting tradition of a cultural feast is a fitting tribute to everything the group stands for.

PLCS is proud to support student organizations that affirm diverse identities and foster cross-cultural understanding. The AAPI Association's year-end gathering is a reminder that strong school communities are built not just in classrooms, but in the moments students take to truly see and celebrate one another.
