Veterans Breakfast

Continuing its long-standing tradition of supporting military families, Prairie Queen Elementary School hosted a special Veterans Day breakfast celebration this morning, highlighting Papillion La Vista Community Schools' deep connection with our local military community.

The event brought together active service members, veterans, and their families for a morning of recognition and fellowship. Distinguished guest Chief Master Sergeant T. Kearny Vertner, III, Senior Enlisted Leader of the 338th Combat Training Squadron of the 55th Operations Group at Offutt Air Force Base, attended the celebration, underscoring the strong partnership between PLCS and Offutt Air Force Base.

Adding to the morning's significance, members of the PLCS Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) were present to welcome families and participate in the gathering. Their presence represented the district's commitment to supporting military service and leadership development among our students.

The breakfast provided a valuable opportunity for military families to connect with school staff and each other in a welcoming environment. As a district serving many military families, PLCS recognizes the unique challenges and sacrifices made by service members and their children. Events like these help strengthen the bond between our schools and military families while expressing gratitude for their service.
