Student leaders from Papillion La Vista High School demonstrated their commitment to community service this weekend through a volunteer project at Tara Heights Elementary School. Members of both the National Honor Society (NHS) and Student Council participated in a grounds beautification effort at the elementary campus.
The high school volunteers spent their weekend conducting essential yard maintenance, including raking and other outdoor cleanup activities, to help maintain and improve the elementary school grounds. This collaboration between PLHS student organizations and Tara Heights Elementary exemplifies the strong connections within the Papillion La Vista Community Schools district.
The service project highlights how PLHS students are actively contributing to the broader school community, showcasing leadership through action. By choosing to dedicate their free time to improve another school's campus, these student volunteers embody the district's commitment to community support and engagement.
This initiative represents one of many ways that PLHS student organizations work to make a positive impact in the community. Through their National Honor Society and Student Council involvement, these high school students continue to demonstrate the leadership and service values that are cornerstone principles of PLCS.
The volunteer effort at Tara Heights Elementary serves as a powerful example of how PLCS students support one another across all grade levels, helping to create and maintain the strong sense of community that defines the district.
