Sixth grade students across Papillion La Vista Community Schools are marking an important milestone as they complete the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program, with ceremonies taking place at elementary schools throughout the district.
At Hickory Hill Elementary's recent graduation ceremony, DARE Instructor Officer Tackett was celebrated by students for his dedication and engaging approach to the program. The strong connection between Officer Tackett and his students was evident throughout the celebration.
Superintendent Dr. Andy Rikli attended the ceremony, speaking to students about the significance of making positive personal choices. His presence underscored the district's commitment to this valuable program.
The DARE program continues to make a meaningful impact in PLCS elementary schools, thanks to the dedication of law enforcement officers who serve as instructors. These officers build important relationships with students while teaching them essential life skills and decision-making strategies.
As graduation ceremonies continue across the district, PLCS celebrates all sixth grade students who have completed this important program, preparing them with tools for success as they move forward in their academic careers.
