Local Law Enforcement Surprises Golden Hills with Sensory Room Donations, 12/21/24
Christopher Villarre

Students at Golden Hills Elementary received a special visit from local law enforcement officers bearing gifts for the school's sensory room. Papillion Middle School Resource Officer Patterson, joined by officers from the Bellevue Police Department and Sarpy County Sheriff's Office, delivered donations of toys and puzzles to enhance the school's sensory space.

The surprise visit included a special guest - Henry the police dog - who delighted students during the presentation. Students had the opportunity to interact with the officers and pet Henry while learning about the new additions to their sensory room.

The donation demonstrates the strong partnership between local law enforcement and PLCS schools, while supporting Golden Hills' commitment to meeting the needs of all students. The new sensory room materials will provide additional resources for Golden Hills Eagles to regulate, focus, and succeed in their learning environment.

This collaborative effort between law enforcement and the school highlights the positive impact of community support in enhancing educational experiences for PLCS students.
