Kindergarten students in Ms. Brooke's class at Trumble Park Elementary recently put on a special musical performance for their sixth grade buddies. The young performers sang a song about the Little Red Hen that they had been learning in their music class.

The performance was part of Trumble Park's cross-grade buddy program, which pairs kindergarten and sixth grade students throughout the school year for various activities. This program fosters mentoring relationships while giving older students leadership opportunities and younger students positive role models within the school.

The kindergarteners practiced diligently for their performance, perfecting both the lyrics and accompanying movements. Their sixth grade buddies provided an appreciative and supportive audience, making the experience especially meaningful for the young performers.

This musical sharing showcases the value of arts education within PLCS while highlighting the positive relationships built through the school's buddy program. Such cross-grade interactions create a more connected school community where students develop relationships beyond their immediate peer groups.
