Welcome to our Board Meeting Bulletin series, where we highlight key takeaways from each board meeting to keep our community informed and engaged with the latest developments in our school district.
Continuous Improvement Review: Dr. Shureen Seery presented findings from the district's recent Nebraska Department of Education external accreditation review, conducted January 20-23, 2025. The 19-member review team visited 286 classrooms and conducted over 390 interviews with staff, administrators, parents, and students. Key commendations included the district's strong relationships and partnerships, career/technical education opportunities, mental health support systems, and professional development programs.
2025-26 Staffing Planning: Dr. Kati Settles presented staffing recommendations for the upcoming school year, with a focus on adding 1.4 FTE school psychologist positions to enhance student support services. The district is taking a conservative approach to staffing additions in preparation for new building openings in the following year.
