What is PLCS doing?

    • Working closely with Sarpy/Cass Health Department and following CDC guidelines.
    • Meeting twice a week with a task force of health officials, other school districts and medical experts to receive the most up to date information.
    • Increased cleaning – disinfecting high touch areas (door handle, light switches) multiple times a day. Cleaning desktops and surface areas each evening.
    • Ordered additional hand sanitizers for all schools.
    • Conducting an aggressive public awareness campaign to increase hand washing and change behaviors to prevent the spread of germs.
      • Encouraging hand washing at school during the day.
    • Encouraging staff to stay home if they are sick.
    • Updating our pandemic plan.
    • Developing contingency plan if we need to limit the gathering of large groups.
    • Eliminated community use of all of our school facilities so our custodial staff can conduct extra cleaning each night. This will also minimize additional germs being brought into our schools.
