Jeff Spilker is starting his 2nd year as the Principal at Papillion-La Vista South High School.  He will work with the Senior class for the 2021-22 school year. Mr. Spilker came to Papillion-La Vista South in 2005, after receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  Along with teaching math, Mr. Spilker previously served as an Assistant Principal at PLSHS and has also served as a math teacher and an assistant baseball coach for the Titans.  Mr. Spilker has received a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in technology along with a Master’s of Educational Administration.

Mr. Brent Gehring is starting his 2nd year as an assistant principal at Papillion La Vista South High School.   He will work with Juniors for the 2021-22 school year. Mr. Gehring began his career at Bellevue East High School as an business teacher before coming to Papillion La Vista South High School as an Assistant Athletic Director.  He earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Mr. Yano Jones is an assistant principal at Papillion La Vista South.   He will work the Sophomore class for the 2021-22 school year. 

Mrs. Jessica Prusha is starting her 3rd year as an assistant principal at Papillion La Vista South High School.   She will work with the Freshman class for the 2021-22 school year. Mrs. Prusha began her career at her alma mater, Omaha Bryan High School as an English teacher.  Most previously, Mrs. Prusha spent seven years at Bellevue West High School and served as a dean for five years.  She earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and a Certificate in Urban Instruction at University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Mr. Jeremy Van Ackeren is the Assistant Principal/Activities Director at Papillion-La Vista South High School. Prior to coming to PLSHS, Jeremy was an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Papillion Junior High for 3 years. Mr. VanAckeren began his teaching career at Leigh Community Schools in 1993 where he coached three sports and taught math.  He then taught math and coached at Norfolk Senior High School for 8 years before moving on to Papillion Junior High.  While at Papillion Junior High, he taught math for 4 years and was the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Papillion-LaVista South.  Mr. VanAckeren received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State College in the area of Secondary Education-Math.  He also received his Master of Educational Administration-Secondary degree from Wayne State in 2000.
