Survey Data
-
At the end of each parent meeting parents were given a survey to complete to provide additional feedback. Below is the raw data from that survey typed directly as written by parents.

Strengths
What are the strengths of the proposal?
- Minimal movement of kids #65 to new school #100 to Portal
- Relieves stress on current school
- Keeping the school boundaries by neighborhood!
- Lighten the load at PQ
- Not have max capacity classrooms
- Keeping/sending kids to their closest neighborhood school
- Allows better ration and my children not being overwhelmed by the size of PQ
- Better School Sizes
- Straight forward - accounts for future growth
- Geographically makes sense
-
Concerns
What concerns do you have about the proposal?
- Taxpayers will not care if you only have 30 kids in a school. They will never know. Stop moving kids around.
- Building not being complete by fall 2020
- Just don't make another move where you pull a neighborhood you just have to move back.
- Potential timing of opening new building. Opening mid-year is NOT optimal.
- Disrupt children's relationships with friends, teachers & Counselors.
- New Schools have minimal playground equipment. Can't move $ to set aside to establish it when built. Frustrating for parents that have donated a lot of money towards PQ and have to start over.
- Kids Club needs playgrounds for summer day to day program.
- Major growth and my children being moved again in 5 years.
- No concerns of this proposal, just future ones that may impact new school boundaries.
- We are losing busing in Prairie Hills, there will not be sidewalks in the new neighborhoods surrounding the new school.
- Timing of opening.
