What is an internship? Internships give students the opportunity to experience first hand what a potential career may be like. PLCS partners with a local business and students are immersed in the business setting.
What is the Public Relations Internship? The Public Relations Internship is offered through the Sarpy Chamber of Commerce.Through this internship, students will gain experiences in the field of public relations, community involvement and marketing. Students will learn about newsletter content, updating information, organizing and coordinating events, taking reservations for activities and much more.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must complete an application and be selected to participate.
Must be a senior in the fall.
Have an interest in pursuing a career in journalism, business, marketing, communications or public relations.
Must have a good attendance record.
Logistics Location: Sarpy Chamber of Commerce Internship Shadow Lake Town Center, 7775 Olson Drive, Suite 207, Papillion Time: Internship students will work 5 hours per week with flexible hours. Transportation: Students must provide their own transportation. Credits: One high school elective credit per semester Pay: These are non-paid internships Grades: Seniors only
