Social Events

  • The focus of this year's NFUSSD conference is to have a good time, network with colleagues from throughout the country and for every attendee to take back ideas he or she can implement in his or her school district.  Throughout the conference a variety of networking opportunities and social events have been integrated.  Below are just a few of the highlights.

    Sign-up Dinners - Sunday, October 15, 2017 - 5:30 p.m. Variety of Downtown Restaurants
Conference attendees may dine on their own or they can sign up for dinner at one of the local restaurants.  The sign-up dinners will give conference attendees an opportunity to network with other attendees they may not know.  Each sign-up dinner will include a dinner host from PLCS, reservations made in advance and an escort to and from dinner.  Sign-up dinners are designed for 10-15 participants.  A complete list of sign-up dinner options with the menus and prices for each restaurant will be available at the registration desk.

    Reception - Monday, October 16, 2017 - 5:00 p.m. Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo
Following the afternoon tour at the PLCS Zoo Academy, NFUSSD attendees will have a short time to tour the zoo on their own.  As the zoo closes at 5:00, a conference reception including food and beverages will be held in the beautiful African Lodge overlooking the African animal exhibits.  Spouses will be encouraged to join the NFUSSD conference group as we take over the zoo for some private time.
