What is the Information Technology Internship?
The Information Technology internship is offered through the Papillion La Vista Community Schools Technology Department. This internship may be flexible with hours. In the year’s past students who have participated in the IT internship have been offered full time positions or have went on to pursue their postsecondary education in the IT industry. The internship is designed to give the intern a lot of hands on practical experience, so they can better understand and be prepared for their future career interests in the IT world.
Students will be selected through an application and interview process. Students applying for the internship should have completed at least one year in the IT Jump Start Program or have commensurate experience equal to the course work. Strong consideration will be given to students who are currently working in a practical IT experience or have equal coursework underway.
Eligibility Requirements:- Must complete an application and be selected to participate.
- Must be a senior in the fall.
- Have an interest in pursuing a career in the IT industry.
- Must have a good attendance record.

Location:
PLCS Information Technology
410 S. Adams Street, Papillion
Time: Internship students will work 5 hours per week with flexible hours.
Transportation: Students must provide their own transportation.
Prerequisites: Participation in the current IT Jump Start Program or commensurate hands on experience in technology.
Credits: One high school elective credit per semester
Pay: non-paid internship
Grades: Seniors only
