KINDERGARTENER ONLINE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!
Do you or someone you know have a child who will be five years old by July 31, 2018 and will be attending kindergarten in the fall of 2018? If so, online enrollment is now open and can be completed by going to plcschools.org and following the online enrollment instructions found in the parent section on the District website. All incoming kindergartners must be enrolled online, even those who are currently attending a District preschool location. If you do not have access to a computer you can come to Trumble Park Elementary to complete the online enrollment process or call 402-537-6200 for assistance. Once your enrollment application is processed you will receive an email with further instructions. Please don’t wait, it is imperative that you go online and register your student today to help us begin planning for the 2018-19 school year!
PRESCHOOL SCREENINGS FOR THE 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR
Are you interested in having your child attend the Papillion La Vista Community Schools Preschool program during the 2018-2019 school year? Please sign your child up for a free developmental screening activity to be held on March 8th from 4-8 pm at the Papillion La Vista Community Schools Central Office (420 S. Washington Street). In order to be considered for a preschool placement, your child must be 4 years old by July 31, 2018 and you must also reside in the Papillion La Vista Community Schools district. To register for the screening, please call the Early Childhood Center at (402) 514- 3243.
ELEMENTARY REPORT CARDS AVAILABLE ONLINE JANUARY 18TH
Elementary report cards for all Papillion La Vista Community Schools are online. Second quarter report cards will be available on January 18th. Parents can access the report card from the school website by clicking on the popular bar and then online report cards. If you do not remember your password you can log on and click forgot password.

If your student is going to be absent or late to school, a parent or guardian must contact the school office to report the absence. Please call 402-898-0466 prior to 8:30 am. If you call anytime before or after school you will reach the answer machine. Please leave your child's name, their teacher's name, and the reason for the absence. You can also email that information to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
If your student has an appointment during the day, it is helpful if you notify the office or the student’s teacher via phone or email prior to the appointment so we know when to expect you and can have your child ready in a more timely manner. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Parents if you will be joining your child for lunch and would like to order a HOT lunch, please notify the office no later than 8:25 am to ensure that we get a lunch ordered for you. We do not order extra lunches so if we do not hear from you we will NOT be able to provide a lunch for you. Payment is made in the lunchroom and exact change is required. The cost of an adult lunch is $3.00.
FOOD IN THE CLASSROOMS
You are welcome to bring in treats for your child’s birthday. The following guidelines will be followed and all treats are to be brought to the front office for delivery by school staff. Please also consider non-food treats as an option (pencils, stickers, etc.).
* No homemade treats will be served in the classes.
* All treats must be store-bought items. A list of ingredients must be attached. If there is any doubt as to the ingredients, treats may not be served.
* We understand there may be students with particular allergies that may require a specific homemade item. Contact the office if you have this situation. In general, there are store-bought items available to accommodate most allergies.
* All treats must be pre-cut and ready to serve, with appropriate utensils, etc. included.
* Reminder: We are a nut-free school! Do not bring treats containing nuts or nut products!
Please contact your child’s teacher about specific allergies in the classroom and a list of suggested treats that all students may enjoy. For further questions, contact your child’s teacher or the office.
