Important Notice from the Health Office
In order for your child to be cared for appropriately and safely, the Papillion La Vista Community School District asks that all parents with children who have asthma, severe allergies, diabetes or seizures keep an action plan on file in the health office. This includes students that self manage their asthma or diabetes. All forms, including medication permits, are available for you to download from the district website www.plcschools.org under Health Services, or from your school nurse. Please print the forms that you need and take them to your child’s doctor for updates. Send in the completed forms, with medications, to the school health office on or before the first day of school. Remember, new care plans are required each school year. Thank you for your cooperation. Have a great summer!
Attention Parents: Please call the office at 402-898-0405 by 8:30am to report absenteeism, appointments where students need to be released early or arrive late. Before and after school hours, you will reach our night answering machine. Please leave a message with your student’s name, date of absence and reason for absence.
Feel free to call when you are on your way so that the office is able to retrieve your student(s) from class and have them waiting for you to arrive.
To email the front office about an absence, please send to the following: firstname.lastname@example.org and /or email@example.com. If you are emailing your student’s teacher about any absences, please “cc” the front office at the above email addresses. You may also send in a note.
Please refer to the Patriot Parent Handbook for more information on student absences and tardies. If you did not receive a handbook, contact the front office and we will be sure to get you one.
