Jeff Spilker

Jeff Spilker is the Principal at Papillion-La Vista South High School.  He works with Seniors. Mr. Spilker came to Papillion-La Vista South in 2005, after receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  Along with teaching math, Mr. Spilker previously served as an Assistant Principal at PLSHS and has also served as an assistant baseball coach for the Titans.  Mr. Spilker has received a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in technology along with a Master’s of Educational Administration.

Brent Gehring

Mr. Brent Gehring is an assistant principal at Papillion La Vista South.   He primarily works with all Sophomores. Mr. Gehring began his career at Bellevue East High School as an business teacher, FBLA and DECA advisor, as well as an assistant boys basketball coach.  He earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Jessica Prusha

Mrs. Jessica Prusha is an assistant principal at Papillion La Vista South.   She primarily works with all Freshman. Mrs. Prusha began her career at her alma mater, Omaha Bryan High School as an English teacher.  Most previously, Mrs. Prusha spent seven years at Bellevue West High School and served as a dean for five years.  She earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and a Certificate in Urban Instruction at University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Jeremy Van Ackeren

Mr. Jeremy Van Ackeren is the Assistant Principal/Activities Director at Papillion-La Vista South High School. Prior to coming to PLSHS, Jeremy was an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Papillion Junior High for 3 years. Mr. VanAckeren began his teaching career at Leigh Community Schools in 1993 where he coached three sports and taught math.  He then taught math and coached at Norfolk Senior High School for 8 years before moving on to Papillion Junior High.  While at Papillion Junior High, he taught math for 4 years and was the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Papillion-LaVista South.  Mr. VanAckeren received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State College in the area of Secondary Education-Math.  He also received his Master of Educational Administration-Secondary degree from Wayne State in 2000.
