    Daily Screening Guidelines
All families will need to complete a daily screening prior to arriving at school each day.
It is VERY critical that if showing any symptom - stay home.
Do your part to keep everyone healthy and safe. Complete the daily screener honestly!

PLCS Partners with Children's Hospital & Medical Center to help families conduct daily screening for COVID-19
Through a partnership with Children's Hospital, all PLCS families will have access to a screening app that can be completed daily on your phone or any device. This screening tool will walk families through a series of questions and give you action steps that need to be taken based on your answers. Daily screening is critical in keeping all students and staff healthy and in school.

Before a student may return to school, we need a copy of the test results, negative and positive.

You may email a copy to our nurse Caitlin Wilsey @ or fax a copy to 402-932-8452. Thank you for helping us keep all our students safe!

  • Track Information

Boys and Girls Track Information Meeting/Sign Up is Wednesday, March 10th at 3:15-3:30. Boys in the Main Gym / Girls in the Auxiliary Gym.

If your student plans to go out for Track, have them stop in the Student Services office to make sure they have the needed forms on file. Students cannot try out or participate without them. If your student has already tried out/played a school sport, they are good to go.

Students that participate in any sporting event will be asked to pay a one-time activity fee of $50. This fee will be used to offset the increase cost of transportation to and from activities and to keep all middle school sporting events free of charge for families, students and community attendees. Students that participate in multiple sports or show choir and sports will pay the fee only ONE time. The fee will need to be paid within one week of the student making the team. For any family unable to pay the fee, waivers are available through the school office.

The Late bus will arrives at 5:00 p.m. for students involved in after school activities that NORMALLY ride a bus. It will only wait a minute or two as it has other stops to make.

  • Attendance

If your student will be absent, a parent or guardian must call the school at (402) 514-3600 to report the absence or email Carrie Callahan at Calls should be made prior to 8:30am. A message can be left if the line is busy or if it is before or after school hours. Please note when informing the school of your child’s absence, you may be asked if this absence was directed by a health screener and/or for the child's symptoms.

It is very important to report all absences, we have to account for all students for their safety. If a student is still unaccounted for by 10:00 a resource officer will do a well child check.

    Appointments & Passes

Parents/Guardians should try to avoid taking students out of school for appointments if possible.

If your child has an appointment and will be late to school please call no later than 8:30 to report the absence.

If you need to pick up your child during the school day, you will need to call the school ahead of time or he/she may bring a note to the front office before school starts. Your child will be sent a pass allowing them five additional minutes to go to their locker and then come to the front office at the time specified. Parents will remain in their cars when picking up and dropping off students. Students will be released once they see their ride in front of the school. When dropping them back off, students will check back in through the front office and will be given a pass back to class. Please provide a doctor’s as available.
