  • Liberty Enrichment Activities

Hope everyone is doing well as we are all adjusting to what's happening around us and trying to protect the most vulnerable in our community. By now hopefully you have seen the communication from the district in regard to curriculum and keeping your child's brain active. The focus right now is on maintenance and enrichment of learning.

Starting next Monday morning, you will be receiving a weekly newsletter, much like you have every Friday this year. This newsletter will contain teacher suggested enrichment activities for all subjects that week. Our hope is to streamline communication as much as possible to make it easy for you and our students to follow.

This week, our main focus has been on allowing staff and students to safely enter the building to obtain personal items. As far as learning and engagement this week, we encourage students to familiarize themselves and complete activities within the district padlet (https://padlet.com/Julee_Sauer/v3aoo9e604px). Again, starting next Monday there will be a more specific outline of suggested activities given.

This is a new territory for all of us and our goal is to provide opportunity for practice and enrichment in a manner that everyone is able to manage.  The objective right now is that everyone stay safe and healthy and we maintain learning as much as possible.

Again, any questions, please let us know and we are happy to help. We so appreciate your patience and understanding as we all work through this time together.

On behalf of the staff at Liberty Middle School,

    Troy Juracek

  • Attendance Reminders

If your student will not be at school, a parent or guardian needs to contact the school @ 402-514-3600 to report the absence.  You may also e-mail Carrie Callahan with your absences.  Please notify the school prior to 8:30am.  A message may be left if the line is busy or after regular school hours. A student will be considered “unexcused” if the absence is not confirmed.

Parents should try to avoid taking students out of school for appointments if possible.  If it is necessary, it is helpful if you call ahead or have your student bring a note to the front office when they arrive at school.  If you wish to have the absence waived, your child may bring a signed note from the doctor when they return to school.

  • Building Hours and Supervision

    School hours: 8:00am - 3:10pm

Late Start Wednesdays - On Wednesdays, school will start at 8:20am. The late start will have no impact on parent’s schedules. Students can still enter the building at their normal time.

We encourage students to arrive no earlier than 7:30am, as that is the time student supervision begins.  Students not involved in after school activities need to be off school grounds by3:30pm, as there is no supervision after that time.
